Job Opening		Web Designer

This is an excellent opportunity to get valuable knowledge and experience in web design & development in a specialist commercial environment. The Company requires a Designer with strong programming skills to help develop internal web based database solutions. The focus will be on good database design and building fast and efficient ways of extracting key data. Working jointly with the web administrator, the successful candidate will have the following responsibilities.

 

• To design Web sites and ensure that they are visually effective and easy to access.
• Advising the director on the categories and information needed to construct the site
• Designing a draft pages for directors approval or modification
• Develop and maintain the website for CRS
• Writing web pages in a combination of codes such as hypertext mark-up language (HTML), JavaScript, and Flash
• Strong knowledge of Dreamweaver, Photoshop, JavaScript
• Testing the web sites for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions
• Update current information on web pages
• Has full responsibility for the layout, visual appearance, and usability of the CRS website.
• Web designer may take part in the initial planning of a Web site, meeting and discussing ideas for the layout and organization of the site, the types of colors or images to use (photos, illustrations, videos, etc.)

• Graduate in any stream.
• A minimum 6 Months experience.
• Experience with web site design and updates
• Macintosh knowledge, good working knowledge of Quark Express, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and experience with Microsoft Office


• Organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to handle multiple projects at once
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Associates or bachelors degree in graphic design, communications or related field or equivalent experience
